Quartz

Quartz is an engineered stone made from over 90% stone and under 10% polymer resin, to give consistent colour and finish. It’s a truly stunning option that retains its look over the years with minimal upkeep.

Quartz has similarities to granite in that it is durable, but it also has some significant advantages over natural stone. Quartz worktops have the look and feel of natural stone, but due to the colour consistency, is a superior worktop option.

Natural stone is porous and prone to staining if not regularly sealed. Engineered stone, like Quartz, is completely non-porous. Quartz is also also more flexible than natural stone and is much more scratch and chip resistant. However, unlike natural stone, quartz is not heat resistant, so you’ll need to use a trivet before you place hot pots or pans on the worktop.
